Hot or cold, fruit stand to velvet curtains, we’re there. 

Our writers and editors are always 100% local (and human), bringing a sophisticated eye to the offbeat, the homegrown, and the just plain weird, riffing on news and trends from sotol sourcing to birria pizza to nonalcoholic cocktails and everything in between. We explore the newest spots, celebrate the old and precious, and report on openings and closings from Cruces to Taos.

Delivered (almost) every Saturday, our weekly newsletter serves up our takes on big food trends and snapshots of delicious dishes in the wild with a side of local happenings carefully curated by our editors. Launched in 2021, The Bite is new, but its roots here are deep. Our team represents born-and-raised New Mexicans along with deeply rooted locals, inveterate travelers, cooks, and eaters. Since 2012, Stephanie and Walt Cameron have been at the helm of Bite Size Media, publisher of award-winning food and sustainability magazine edible New Mexico.
